ABOUT
Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Ulysses is the youngest of two boys raised by a single mother. Being apart of many activities growing up including: swimming, band, football, cross country, and track & field, Ulysses found himself becoming a very skilled athlete. Track & Field is what took him the collegiate route as he competed at the NCAA Division I level for Houston Baptist University. Along with receiving his BS in Kinesiology and a Master's in Education, he discovered his passion for acting with a student theater troupe known as the Rex Fleming Players. He has been pursuing an acting career ever since.
This Mexican American actor takes what he has learned through his many years in sports such as consistency, diligence, fearlessness, hard work, dedication, and motivation and brings it into his acting career. Montoya is determined to continue to work in the TV/Film industry and is proud of his past roles which include the independent feature film, Rich Kids, AMC's "The Son", and USA's "Queen of the South". Ulysses has great range as an actor and seeks to be a strong male lead who can defy the current odds against Latino actors.
